Measurable Multifunctions in Nonseparable Banach
In this article we define measurable multifunctions in nonseparable Banach spaces, prove a weak compactness criterion for the selectors of multifunctions integrably bounded, characterize Banach spaces that have the Radon–Nikodym property by means of convergence of multivalued martingales, generalize some recent results on convergence of set-valued conditional expectations, and give some applica...
متن کاملNew Examples of Weakly Compact Approximation in Banach Spaces
The Banach space E has the weakly compact approximation property (W.A.P.) if there is C < ∞ so that the identity map IE can be uniformly approximated on any weakly compact subset D ⊂ E by weakly compact operators V on E satisfying ‖V ‖ ≤ C. We show that the spaces N(`, `) of nuclear operators ` → ` have the W.A.P. for 1 < q ≤ p < ∞, but that the Hardy space H does not have the W.A.P.
متن کاملComputability of invariant measures: two counter-examples
We are interested in the computability of the invariant measures in a computable dynamical system. We construct two counter-examples. The first one has a unique SRB measure, which is not computable. The second one has no computable invariant measure at all. The systems are topological, i.e. continuous transformations on compact spaces, so they admit invariant measures. A topological dynamical s...
متن کاملNEW EXAMPLES OF c 0 - SATURATED BANACH SPACES II
For every Banach space Z with a shrinking unconditional basis satisfying an upper p-estimate for some p > 1, an isomorphically polyhedral Banach space is constructed which has an unconditional basis and admits a quotient isomorphic to Z. It follows that reflexive Banach spaces with an unconditional basis and non-trivial type, Tsirelson's original space and (P c0) ℓp for p ∈ (1, ∞), are isomorph...
متن کاملDescriptive Classes of Sets in Nonseparable Spaces
The classical descriptive set theory is devoted to the study of descriptive classes of sets in Polish spaces. There are many deep results which found applications, e.g., in real analysis or functional analysis. Several books and survey papers contain essential parts of this theory, see [49], [2], [48], [54], [63]. One of the key tools for the study of Borel sets in Polish spaces are analytic sp...
